Turnaround is a chord chart viewer and practice player, published by Digital Strings. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Short version
Turnaround does not collect personal data, does not run analytics or advertising, and does not make network requests. Everything you add to your library is stored locally on your device, in a local database, and never leaves it.
What Turnaround stores
Charts you open or import, your playlists, and your playback settings (tempo, key, choruses and similar preferences) are stored locally on your device in a local SQLite database. This data stays on your device. Turnaround has no account system and no server component, so there is nothing to sync and nothing for us to receive.
No network access
Turnaround does not make network requests. It has no analytics, no crash reporting service, and no advertising. We do not know how many people use the app, what charts they open, or how they use it, because the app never tells us.
Reading your iReal Pro library (Mac only)
On the Mac, Turnaround can optionally read your own iReal Pro library so you can bring your existing charts and playlists into Turnaround. This works only if you choose "From the iReal Pro library…" in the app, and only after macOS itself asks your permission to let Turnaround access data from another app (iReal Pro's app container). The read is:
- Read-only - Turnaround never writes to or modifies iReal Pro's data.
- On-device - the data is copied into Turnaround's own local database and is never transmitted anywhere.
- Permission-gated - macOS's sandbox requires your explicit consent before any app can read another app's container; you can revoke this at any time in System Settings.
This feature is unavailable on iPhone, iPad and web, since those platforms have no access to iReal Pro's data at all.

Opening an irealb:// link hands Turnaround a chord chart already encoded in the link itself. No data is sent anywhere to open it.
Children's privacy
Turnaround does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
